Bhairava means terrible, formidable. This is one of the eight aspects of Siva. Bhairavasana is named after him.
Technique for Bhairavasana
- After releasing the hand grip in Kapilasana, exhale and recline backwards.
- Fold the arms across the chest. Keep the right leg stretched straight on the floor.
- Stay in the pose for about 20 seconds, with deep breathing.
